Teal Color Palettes

Teal sits at one of the most contested points on the color wheel — the gap between blue and green where neither label quite fits. Japanese color tradition is exceptionally precise here. Ao (青) is the classical term that named both blue and green for centuries. Seiji is the pale blue-green of celadon ash glaze. Hanada is a mid-grade indigo that reads teal in natural light. These combinations are the reference for designers who need teal to do serious work: brand identity, product packaging, UI accent systems, hospitality design, and any project where the brief asks for "fresh" without the default teal cliché.
