Color Palettes for Logos

Combinations that hold at favicon scale and expand to full system.

A logo palette has different requirements than a web palette or a print palette: it must work in one color, two colors, and full color; it must hold at 16px and at billboard scale; it must survive against white, black, and competing backgrounds. The Wada combinations that make the best logo palettes are the ones with extreme contrast — the deep kon indigo against off-white kinari, the saturated kurenai crimson against ink black, the complex three-tone combinations that read as a single recognizable shape at small sizes. Every palette here has been chosen for structural reliability: the kind of combination a logo designer reaches for on the day they need it to work.
